Kenny Ausubel

Social Entrepreneur, Author, Journalist, & Filmmaker

Kenny Ausubel is an award-winning social entrepreneur, author, journalist, and filmmaker. He is the producer, co-director and writer of Changing of the Gods, a groundbreaking docu-series on cycles of revolutions, social transformation and paradigm shifts since the French Revolution, viewed through the lens of archetypal astrology.
He is CEO and Co-Founder of Bioneers, a nationally recognized nonprofit dedicated to disseminating practical and visionary solutions for restoring Earth’s imperiled ecosystems and healing our human communities.

He serves as executive producer and co-writer of the award-winning annual radio series, The Bioneers: Revolution from the Heart of Nature, which airs on over 430 U.S. stations and more globally. He co-founded the company Seeds of Change, the first national organic seed company dedicated to “backyard biodiversity.”

Kenny previously produced the award-winning feature documentary film Hoxsey: How Healing Becomes a Crime. He acted as a central advisor to Leonardo DiCaprio on his feature documentary The 11th Hour, and appears in the film. Kenny has written several books and has edited several other books.
 

Louie Schwartzberg

Award-winning Cinematographer, Director and Producer

Louie Schwartzberg is an award-winning cinematographer, director and producer who has spent his notable career providing breathtaking imagery using his time-lapse, high-speed, and macro cinematography techniques. Schwartzberg is a visual artist who breaks barriers, connects with audiences, and tells stories that celebrate life and reveal the mysteries and wisdom of nature, people, and places.
Louie’s theatrical releases include the 3D IMAX film Mysteries of the Unseen World with National Geographic, narrated by Forest Whitaker; the theatrical feature, Wings of Life for Disneynature, narrated by Meryl Streep, and America’s Heart and Soul for Walt Disney Studios and his TED talks have over 60 million views on YouTube.
Louie has also directed the Soarin’ Around the World; the most popular motion simulator ride film now playing at Disney Theme Parks globally. Netflix released the third season of his series Moving Art. Louie’s most recent feature film, Fantastic Fungi, opened in local theaters throughout the US, and currently has 100% on Rotten Tomatoes. Upon its release on Netflix, the film became highly popular, and even trended at #1.
For Schwartzberg, the greatest satisfaction is creating works that can have a positive effect on the future of the planet, by protecting what we love.
 

Richard Tarnas

Professor of philosophy and psychology, California Institute of Integral Studies

Richard Tarnas is a professor of psychology and cultural history at the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco, where he founded the graduate program in philosophy, cosmology, and consciousness. He teaches courses in the history of ideas, archetypal cosmology, depth psychology, and religious evolution. He frequently lectures on archetypal studies and depth psychology at Pacifica Graduate Institute in Santa Barbara, and was formerly the director of programs and education at Esalen Institute in Big Sur, California.

He is the author of The Passion of the Western Mind, a history of the Western world view from the ancient Greek to the postmodern that is widely used in universities. His second book, Cosmos and Psyche, received the Book of the Year Prize from the Scientific and Medical Network, and is the basis for the documentary series The Changing of the Gods. He is a past president of the International Transpersonal Association and served on the Board of Governors for the C. G. Jung Institute of San Francisco.

Yeye Luisah Teish

Chief Iyanifa, Ile Orunmila Oshun, Storyteller-Writer-Speaker-Counselor- Artist

Yeye Luisah Teish is a storyteller-writer, an artist-activist, and a spiritual guidance counselor. She's an initiated elder (Iyanifa) in the Ifa/Orisha tradition, and a member of the Global Council for Ancestor Veneration. She has authored six books, most notably Jambalaya: The Natural Woman’s Book of Personal Charms and Practical Rituals, and co-authored On Holy Ground: Commitment and Devotion to Sacred Land, with Kahuna Leilani Birely. 

Yeye is a member of the Fountain and the Mother Earth Delegation of the United Original Nations. A contributor to 35 anthologies, and magazines including Ms., Essence, SageWoman, and Yoga Journal, her books have been translated into German, Spanish, and French, and her prayers and poetry have been published in seven indigenous languages. Her articles and artworks appear in Coreopsis: Journal of Myth and Theater, and the Cascadia Subduction Zone Journal of speculative fiction.

She serves as the resident elder-advisor for Restorative Justice for Oakland Youth (RJOY), and she's a member of Jubilee Justice Journeys and the Mother Earth Delegation of the United Indigenous Nations. Her issues are global food security, water quality, and access, reforestation, and violence against women and girls.

Her performances include St. John the Divine Cathedral in New York, The Ogden Museum in New Orleans, The Museu Calouste Gulbenkian in Lisbon Portugal, The Galaxy Theater in Auckland, New Zealand, and La Casa de la Poesia in Caracas, Venezuela.

She has a creative writing specialization certificate from Wesleyan University and has designed, directed, and performed myth and ritual theater in Europe, Venezuela, and New Zealand. She's the spiritual culture consultant for Jubilee Justice Journey for Reparations, Restorative Justice for Oakland Youth, and the Center for Sacred Studies. She has a certificate in food and nutrition from Stanford University and is a co-faculty of the Afro-botany Immersion program for Natural Choices Botanica. She teaches online courses and provides editorial assistance to writers and performers.

Festival Co-Producer

With a passion for creating at the intersection of ecology, spirituality, and social justice, Téana David served as the director of Deepak HomeBase in New York City where she designed, curated, and produced a year-round transformational event series. Currently the co-director of Circle of Wisdom, she conducts video interviews with wisdom-keepers from different cultures to make their wisdom available to the next generations. She co-wrote her first TV pilot at age 19 for Canadian Television and has written numerous plays, including The Wonders (Spielberg Righteous Person’s Award), and Scars (Tonya Pinkin's Truth & Reconciliation Project), as well as numerous environmental messaging campaigns. Recent producing credits include Artists United for Amazonia and No Vote Left Behind, livestream events that garnered a combined viewership of 33 million. Téana holds an MFA in Contemporary Performance from Naropa University, an interdisciplinary degree comprised of performance, somatic studies, playwriting, and producing. She serves on the board of The Tribal Trust Foundation, The Evolutionary Leaders Circle, and is a founding member of Artists For Amazonia.
